Frequently asked questions
Do you accept all donations?
No. As a baby bank with limited storage, we can only accept items listed on our “What We Accept” page.
Items outside of this list will be refused.
We cannot store, repair or dispose of unsuitable donations.
Why are some items refused?
We operate with limited space and volunteer capacity.
Unsuitable donations cost the charity money in waste disposal fees.
To protect our resources for children and families, we must strictly follow our accepted items list.
What does “currently full” mean?
When we list items as “currently full”, it means:
-
We do not have storage space
-
We cannot accept any more of that item
-
The item will be refused if brought in
Please check our website before travelling.
Can I leave donations outside if you are closed?
No.
Items left outside may be damaged and must be disposed of.
This creates additional costs for the charity.
Please only donate during opening hours.
Why don’t you accept car seats / mattresses / certain baby equipment?
For safety and legal reasons, we cannot accept items that:
-
Have unknown safety history
-
Cannot be hygiene-checked
-
May not meet current safety standards
This protects the families we support.
Do you accept adult clothing or homeware?
No. We are a baby bank and children’s charity.
We only accept children’s clothing (birth–16 years), maternity wear and listed baby/children’s items.
Can you collect large items?
We do not offer a collection service and cannot accept large household furniture.
Please check our accepted items list before arranging transport.
